The Change Game

The Change is a educational game aiming to sensibilize the players to the Transformative Economies, such as Social and Solidarity Economy, Communitarian Economy, Feminist Economy, Commons Economy and Agroecology.

Facing the current economic system (which is inegalitarian and unfair), the players are meant to collaborate and unite their forces to beat Capitalism while learning and discovering concrete initiatives linked with Transformative Economies.

‘The Change in action’, a manual to facilitate the dynamisation and impact of the serious game ‘The Change’.

Thanks to the Manual – co-produced with the support of groups of young people from 4 European countries – whoever wants to promote an educational activity with “The Change” finds the keys to prepare the ground for a fruitful reflection and a learning action process on TEs: through the facilitation of “The Change”, active young people will be able to empower less active young people to acquire new competences and to become promoters of values and practices of TEs.

The manual has been tested in various workshops and with different target groups during October and November to complete the final version where you can find:

  • An introduction to the damages of the current economic system and to the benefits of Transformative Economies.
  • How to promote an educational activity using “The Change” and tips to explain the game.
  • How to prepare the activity flow, the debriefing and the evaluation.
  • How to deal with conflict/violent communication.
  • Other resources: a glossary and a reference to an online map of real initiatives of Transformative Economies, as examples that other economies are indeed possible and are already a reality.

The manual is available in the same languages as the game:

With the change and this manual, players can discover real TEs initiatives and realise that other economies are possible. They can learn more about TEs, connect themselves to their local reality with a transnational perspective, and apply small or big changes to their daily habits and routines.
