Tool Description
The objective is “to observe and evaluate the relevance and quality of the relationship between an organization and its community of reference through a dashboard of indicators”. These indicators monitor the “community mission of the institutions”.
A mission that is such if it becomes “enabling the generation (and subsequent evaluation) of social impact”.
It’s a work in progress method that is still under development at the moment of writing this text, but it is very relevant for SSE:

Identity dimension: recognition and community support received
- accountability tools and strategies

- volunteering and active citizenship
Inclusive dimension: quality of the involvement of the reference community
- level of involvement (breadth and intensity)
- diversity and inclusion
- inclusive governance
Ecosystem dimension: quality of interdependence and orientation towards territorialization
- Territorial networks: breadth and heterogeneity
- cooperation and purpose
- multi stakeholdership and territory (plural governance and openness toward the territory)
Transformative dimension: outcomes and changes generated on the reference contexts
- impact: width and depth
- community and territory (territory development and environment)
- workers and employers
Aims
The C-Index aims to observe and evaluate the relevance and quality of the relationship between an organization and its / their community of reference, through a dashboard of indicators useful for monitoring the community mission of the institutions, as an element enabling the generation (and subsequent evaluation) of social impact.
